Commercial Ozone Units
New Zealand Ozone work with a number of suppliers who specialise in manufacturing Ozone for commercial use.
There are many applications for Ozone. Listed are a few applications.
Odour Control
Ozone destroys odors by by breaking down combined substances into their base components. Most of these odorous substances can be found within the sulfides, mercaptans and amine groups. By breaking the bonds of these chemicals through oxidation, the odours are eliminated.
Ozone works as a natural cleaner. When it comes into contact with an odour (a volatile organic compound) a chemical reaction takes place and the odour oxidises into a harmless, non-odourous substance. It is not a masking process – the smells are removed permanently. Ozone also works as a natural sanitising agent by killing all bacteria, pathogens and viruses.
Commercial Washdown
• No Chemicals • Complete bacterial, virus, fungal & odour control • Simple operation just turn on and wash • No chemical inventory • No residues • Reduces cleaning labour & expense • Eliminates chemical exposure • Environmentally friendly & sustainable
Horticulture
Ozone is the most suitable substance to carry out a complete disinfection of the crops without using harsh chemical products, without generating residues and without negatively affecting the environment ozone can be used to disinfect agricultural soils, it is possible to prepare them for cultivation, without leaving any residues behind.
Agriculture
Ozone in livestock farming should be used for its oxidising properties, oxygen regeneration and for its virucidal, bactericide, fungicide and disinfectant action. Also check out our Oxida Product called Oxi-Heal.
Cold Storage
Ozone technology stops ethylene production and kills bacteria, fungus, mould, virus and odour.
It prevents fruit loss during storage and and reduces quality failures at outturn.“Ozone sanitises the room completely.“In a nutshell, it kills bacteria, fungus and mould whilst removing ethylene.
Bird & Pest Control
Ozone is a respiratory irritant, but is certified as safe for people as long as it is under 100 ppb: (parts per billion) The maximum allowable ozone concentration in industrial working areas: permissible human exposure - 8 hours per day, 6 days a week.
Birds however have an extremely sensitive respiratory system and depart at much lower levels of Ozone.
Ozone is pumped high up into the rafters where birds perch or rest but soon depart if ozone gas is present.
